Ceiling of St James Chapel

St James Chapel in the Basilica of St Anthony in Padua

The Chapel of St. James (Cappella di San Giacomo) is on the right aisle opposite the chapel of St Anthony. It was commissioned in the late 14th century and painted mostly by the Veronese artist Altichiero da Zevio and the Bolognese painter Jacopo Avanzo. The lavish frescoes depict events from the life of St James the Greater.
