Kouros of Myrhinnous Full Frontal

Kouros of Myrhinnous in National Archaeological Museum in Athens, Greece

The Kouros of Myrhinnous (Room 11) is a Parian marble statue of a kouros found in Merenda (ancient Myrrhinous), Attica, in the same pit as the Phrasikleia. The lively rendering of the body makes it an important work of the ripe Archaic period and one of the best examples of kouroi. (540-530 B.C.)
